Tomoichi Takahashi Dr. Eng.

He received the B.S. in physics and M.S. degrees and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Nagoya University, Japan, in 1974, 1976 and 1991. He was employed at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) Electric Communication Laboratories in 1976. From 1987 to 1990, he was also a researcher in ATR Communication Research Laboratories in Kyoto. He joined virtual teleconference project at ATR and developed robot teaching system using virtual reality at NTT. He was a Professor of Chubu University from April 1995 to March 2003. He has been a Professor of Meijo University from April 2003. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, Information Processing Society of Japan, and The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers.
